This work is a response to past romantic relationships, the emotional labor that crafted them and the lessons they’ve taught me. I used Illustration and self-portraiture to visualize each specific response. I use both Spanish and English in this book, this piece being a turning point in my practice where I would start using Spanish exclusively.

I made this book for someone who I loved (still love) very much and my relationship with them was an inspiration behind a lot of my work for a while. This was a very cathartic process, from writing the inside to drawing the flowers, to making the book. It helped me close a chapter in my life and I was very happy to let this memories go.
